Armando Y. Aguilar is “of counsel” to Martin, Lubitz & Hyman, LLC. He has been litigating and trying cases since 1994. He cut his legal teeth in Chicago and has practiced in Colorado since 1999. He practices in the litigation areas of design professional liability, construction negligence, professional malpractice, insurance, and commercial litigation. Mr. Aguilar has represented design professionals, including architects, engineers and surveyors, as well as homeowners, builders and developers in litigation concerning residential and commercial construction projects, on claims from contract disputes to defect claims, fire loss, delays and boundary disputes. He has also litigated commercial claims such as unfair competition, contract claims, unsuitable investment cases, Fair Credit Reporting Act violations and civil rights claims. In addition to litigation, Mr. Aguilar also drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts for construction projects.

Prior to joining Martin, Lubitz & Hyman, LLC, Mr. Aguilar worked at Campbell Bohn Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC, in Denver, Colorado, and was an associate at the construction litigation firm of Lee & Associates, PC, in Denver, Colorado.
