OMF strengthens its Banking and Capital Markets practice
OMF has expanded its Banking and Capital Markets practice: Thomas Lesser (44) joined the firm as partner on 1 February 2016 and strengthens the Banking and Capital Markets team.
Thomas Lesser comes from Mayer Brown where he acted as Counsel. Prior to joining Mayer Brown he worked in banking for several years as a lawyer and a banker in various international investment banks. Thomas Lesser mainly focuses on advising banks with respect to the establishment of pan-European issuance platforms for derivative financial instruments, on the structuring and drafting of securities prospectuses as well as on corresponding approval procedures and in connection with issuance of structured financial products. He also regularly advises banks on regulatory issues, e.g. in connection with the distribution of securities in Germany and in the European Economic Area.
“I know and appreciate Thomas Lesser from a longstanding work relationship in connection with the preparation of securities prospectuses and the exchange of views regarding the offer of securities in Germany and Europe. He meets an already fast-growing business in the banking and capital markets area and is a 'perfect match' for us. Therefore, I am very pleased that he has joined our team", says Dr. Jochen Mittag, founding partner of the firm.
“The particular focus of OMF in banking and capital market law offers me the best opportunity of using my previous experience and to further expand my practice, particularly in the light of the current and upcoming changes in the regulatory environment of banks", adds Thomas Lesser.
OMF is a law firm specializing in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity and in the areas of Banking and Capital Market law in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
