OMF advises AdAstra on the acquisition of the traditional soap manufacturer Kappus in an asset deal
OMF advised the Munich-based investment company AdAstra on the acquisition of the two Kappus plants in Riese and Heitersheim. The two plants were acquired from the insolvency administrator of the Kappus Group by way of an asset deal.
With an annual turnover of EUR 40 million and 150 employees at the two German manufacturing sites, Kappus is one of the leading European soap manufacturers. In addition to its own brands, the company also produces products for numerous retail chains and globally active brand manufacturers. The product range includes various soap variants, syndets and combars, as well as basic soaps for other soap manufacturers.
AdAstra is a Munich-based investment company that provides growth capital for technology-oriented companies in the IT, telecommunications and high-tech sectors. Recently, the company has again focused more on the classic medium-sized investment business.
